Ground was broken on March 15, 1962, for Tamarisk Village and five prototype homes, designed by legendary architect Hugh Kaptur were built. Tamarisk Village was deemed too expensive at $65,000 – about twice the average home price at the time – and the development was never completed. A few of the original prototype homes remain, and this is one of them. Expanded in the 1990s, the home retains its original footprint and most architectural details. This truly is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to own a piece of history. A true architectural mid-century diamond in the rough. Possible historic designation. Copies of original blueprints on file. Exceptional offering.
